This evening, the DPC unveiled their manifesto in preparation for this week's Congressional election which they pledged to
improve the opportunity and prosperity of as many people as possible, and by doing that we will improve the state of our nation, our economy, and help us in war time. When all players can succeed, they can contribute even more to E-UK and make us the greatest nation in the world!
The manifesto included a range of policies including:
- Pay subsidies for workers earning less than £5 a day from the start of the Congressional term, increasing to less than £7.50 by the end of the term.
- Taxes based on events, meaning cheaper essentials in war time, and higher taxes in peace time, allowing the Government to raise revenue to prepare for wars.
- A recommended minimum wage of £5 from the start of the Congressional term, rising to £7.50 by the end of the term.
- Newspaper subsidies.
- A pragmatic, analysis based foreign policy.
- Aid for allies to strengthen our position.
- Subsidies to join MUs.
The manifesto received a generally welcoming reception, though well below what the DPC might need to win the election.
However, the manifesto was publicly attacked by Mr. Ruddy. Commenting on the article published in The People's Voice (full manifesto found here: https://refugia.e-sim.org/article.html?id=381 ) saying:
For a manifesto, I feel ashamed to support a liberal ideology.
Not one mention of the attacks on this country, which should be the priority of any Government that represents me and my fellow peoples. They talk about planning invasions of other nations, whilst our nation is savaged and our people are killed.
This Government talks about an economy, which we will not have should we be wiped out by Norway and Nigeria.
I urge this Government to come to the people and say exactly what allies they have approached in order to help us, and explain the people what they are going to do about our situation.
This is a disgrace and makes a mockery of the British people.
And went on to further state in a shout:

This Government is more concerned with useless articles than getting our country free. I urge the President to come out with an article now.
However, the leader of the DPC, WillShakespeare, was quick to reply stating in reply to Ruddy's comment, as well as in a private message to Mr Ruddy,
Your attacks are misdirected. The DPC is not in Government, the Liberals are in Government. The DPC is the main opposition party.
Just because we are at war, it does not make other policy areas any less important. If we have a poor economy, and people have no money then we can't afford to fight. Having a strong nation depends on a strong economy.
We have policies that will most certainly help us fight. We will make it cheaper to join MUs, we will forge strong alliances and help our allies prosper, we will cut taxes on weapons, food and gifts at times like this to make fighting more affordable to ordinary British folk.
The DPC is fully committed to helping keep Britain free from Norway and Nigeria. Our policies will make this easier. The economy is crucial to all areas of public life.
This manifesto was written prior to the start of the war, but we have policies that would aid the war effort. But this is an election document. We are presenting a vision to improve E-UK.
The article was DPC document, and is our message to the British people of what we intend to do if they vote for us in the election.
The DPC is fully committed to a free United Kingdom, but we must remember there is an election this week which will decide the future of E-UK for at least the next month. This manifesto was also written prior to the start of the war but contains many policies that will aid the war effort.
Also, I take offence at useless I'm quite proud of it :p
Also there is literally no more space to mention anything else the character limit was fully consumed my our plethora of excellent policies that will aid the British people.
The DPC stresses how committed it is to Britain winning this war, and then winning future wars, expanding our nation for the sakes of prosperity.
Though they don't mind being referred to as the Government.
We will provide an update as soon as Ruddy responds to the DPC.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
