Liberals Given Control

The BLP is to head an interim Government which will be in charge until after the first elections take place.

The BLP will control 6 out of 9 seats in Congress until this weeks congressional elections, with independents controlling the other three.

The leader of the British Liberal Party, blendiahmetaj1, has also become President of E-UK.

This gives the Liberals almost exclusive control over the first laws to be passed in E-UK, without a single public vote being cast. This has prompted consternation in some quarters. However Liberals argue that they will show that they can be trusted with E-UK.

Although, of the 4 laws subsequently accepted by Congress, all 4 have ultimately failed. These laws were proposals for building deployments, declarations of war, and military protection pact.

Declarations of war against Norway and Nigeria failed as these countries had already declared war, an MPP with the Netherlands failed due to it conflicting with an existing MPP, and the proposal to build a Q3 defence building in Northeast England failed due to a battle in the region (see below).

The appointment of the Liberals is just part of a world wide appointment of Governments. Whilst there has been some celebration, others have been angry with the appointment, with appointment of Governments being based on inviting other players. It is safe to say that the interim global governments have proven controversial, but the new BLP Government will provide much needed stability and allow national progress.

Britain Under Siege

Britain has been invaded today by Norway and Nigeria, who are currently fighting the British army in Northeastern and Southwestern England respectively.

Northeastern England, a close battle between Norway and the UK, is currently all to play for, with a tied score of 4 rounds won each, though with Norway way ahead in the current on a score of 89.77%, but with an hour and a half of the round still to go, and with Norway needing a further 3 victories if they win the current round.

Meanwhile in Southwestern England, Nigeria has won the first round, with the second on going. In the second round, Britain has a score of 0%, though Nigeria's raw damage numbers in this round are just 22,315 - not an insurmountable gap.

Should Norway and Nigeria win their battles, it would be a major knock to E-UK and indicate a need for further strengthening, perhaps the need for more access and opportunities for citizens in order to put up a stronger fight.

However, both battles are ongoing and unpredictable, and the UK has an ingrained advantage given that these are battles on home territory, making travel, supplies, and access easier.

If British were to win, we would hold our territory and possibly deter future invasion for a period of time whilst enemies regroup and prepare to battle better in future.

When we know the results, we will bring them to you.

The Government asks that all citizens do their bit for E-UK and protect our nation from the invaders.

Progressives to unveil election manifesto

At approximately 5PM GMT, the Democratic Progressive Coalition will be the only party to unveil it's election manifesto - a range of policies that it it promising to fight for if it receives enough votes.

The party has stated that:

We are proud of our manifesto, and we believe it contains a raft of achievable proposals that will build a strong, prosperous E-UK, making the best country to live in and improving opportunities for players, which we believe will make us one of the greatest nations.

The DPC is not expected to do well in the upcoming election, with their membership standing at just 3 to the BLP's 14, but remain hopeful that their policy platform will excite and energise people to vote for a "progressive, prosperous, and fair nation." Sources tell The People's Voice that they hope that their platform will start to win people over, and that they were disadvantaged by a lack of momentum due to the BLP's headstart.

The party has released a few small details, but the majority of the party's biggest policies remain secret until later this evening.

We do know that their manifesto will include commitments to

- To seek to see the state establish strong, new companies that will then provide well paid jobs. The Government will continue to own these companies, but they will be pretty much run by their employees who will make most key decisions. This will ensure that we show that ordinary workers are the most important people in our economy.

- Press plurality is important to ensure a balanced democracy and an active community. We therefore think that the Government should provide 1 gold to people who set up their own newspaper as an incentive to increase national debate.

- We want moderate subsidies for entry in to the UK's main MU in order to make it more affordable. We won't look to cover the whole cost of entry, but want to make entry cheaper and more accessible as this will benefit the whole of E-UK.

But the party also suggests that it's full manifesto will include a full tax strategy that will allow the country to adapt to events and allow maximum development and success, as well a key policy that will see improvements to pay.

The full manifesto will be released later this evening.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
