Britain Votes

The election campaign reaches it's climax today as people across the United Kingdom head to the polls to show which party and which party's vision they trust most to the lead the United Kingdom.

The generally amicable election campaign has seen the British Liberal Party (who currently form an interim Government until today's elections) and Democratic Progressive Coalition compete for votes.

The make-up of the First United Kingdom Congress is known, due to their being just 15 candidates to fill 20 seats, and will consist of 12 Liberals and 3 Progressives.

However, that has not stopped passionate bids to win as many votes as possible. The Liberals want to ensure that their majority has the legitimacy given by winning the popular vote, whilst the DPC believe that they will hold a lot more sway in a Liberal dominated congress if they win the most votes.

Polls indicate an unpredictable result, though the BLP has a small advantage.

The BLP is widely seen to have had a more relaxed yet more successful campaign. Despite lack of speeches, press releases, or manifesto documents, they've been able to build a strong membership of 17 to the DPC's 4, despite a detailed manifesto and a passionate last minute speech by the DPC's leader, WillShakespeare. This advantage in membership appears to have given the BLP some momentum throughout the campaign, suggesting stronger support for them, and allowing them to stand more candidates than the DPC.

The DPC, however, was able to control the debate on issues for a short period of time, following the release of their manifesto, setting out a clear vision. The DPC was hoping to slow the BLP's momentum by taking charge on policy and issues, and present a raft of policies that they argue will improve prosperity, including a mix of Government run companies, a recommended minimum wage, and income subsides to ensure a balanced approach to ensuring wealth and opportunity for all, as well as adaptable taxes, battle supplies, and MU subsidies, among other policies, to aid defence.

However, the DPC quickly lost control of the narrative when they were attacked by Ruddy for failing to mention the UK's ongoing wars with Norway and Nigeria. Mr Shakespeare (soon to be Congressman Shakespeare and Leader of the Opposition Shakespeare) attempted to divert these attacks arguing the manifesto would aid the current war efforts, but following President blendiahmetaj1 statement on the ongoing war, he was forced to issue a fuller statement on the DPC's specific position. Though he still maintains that their manifesto would have aided the war effort and that the current wars were not mentioned due to the fact the manifesto was written first. Ruddy has not responded to this statement.

The People's Voice will bring you full results, reaction, and analysis of the election results so you have all the information about the UK's first election and first Congress as you could ever need!

The War at Home

The wars with Norway and Nigeria are on going today.

Following victories yesterday for Norway in Northeast England for Nigeria in the Southwest and Wales, momentum has fallen back into Britain's side.

A Norwegian attack on London was successfully repelled by a landslide, 8 rounds to 0. And a resistance war in the Northeast was only narrowly lost, with the Norwegians winning 8 rounds to Britain's 6. A new resistance war is on going in the Northeast and is in its first round, with Britain on over 80% of the damage.

Nigeria, on the other hand, has been somewhat more successful, however they've been neglected as they're widely seen as weak, and instead Britain has focused on Norway. They have captured the Southwest and Wales, and are currently winning a battle in Northern Ireland, 2 rounds to Britain's 1.

The wars are ongoing, and we will keep you up to date with all the developments.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
